What do I need to be able to use Pangaea?

You need a PC computer connected to the internet using a broadband connection. For full functionality, Internet Explorer (IE 6.0 and above) is the recommended browser.

Pangaea is developed on the Microsoft .NET platform and therefore is unable to deliver complete functionality on Apple computers.

How long does it take to access Pangaea?

Less than 24 hours of receipt of either your online registration or completed registration form.

How will Pangaea help my company reduce costs?

How will Pangaea streamline my business?

Pangaea links exporters, freight forwarders, agents and importers with each order enabling them to communicate directly with each other. This completely eliminates the requirement for phone calls and faxes. All the information about every order is always available from the one place anytime, anywhere.

Instead of having to check each morning the status of each order, Pangaea tells you what has changed and what needs your attention.

We have our own Freight Management system that we use. Can Pangaea integrate with it?

Yes it can. Pangaea can be configured so that when you enter an order in your system, Pangaea is automatically updated or vice-versa. Additionally, when there are order status updates posted on Pangaea, your system will be automatically updated.

Do my agents need to subscribe to Pangaea to update my orders?

No, when you subscribe to Pangaea, you can add as many agents to Pangaea at no extra cost.

What does Pangaea cost?

How do my staff, agents and clients learn how to use Pangaea?

Pangaea offers FREE on-demand training videos for your staff, agents and clients. As well as training videos there are help manuals where you can search by keywords to find what you are looking for in seconds.

Can I brand Pangaea with our company logo?

Pangaea offers the ability to display your company logo on every page. This includes, your logo displayed on your client’s login screen and on every system generated email that goes to client.

Your clients will think that Pangaea is your own system.

Will our company data be secure?

Pangaea employs the latest security techniques ensuring maximum security. Some of Pangaea’s security restrictions may be seem as excessive, such as the minimum password complexity and Accept/Decline Business Relationship requirement, however the goal is to make Pangaea as secure as possible.

Will Pangaea integrate with our Freight Management System?

Yes, Pangaea will integrate with any existing freight management system.

Can I upgrade my package as I increase my shipments?

Yes, you can upgrade to a higher package at any time.

How do I get my forwarding agent to use Pangaea?

You can set up Pangaea for them, then all your agent needs to do to update orders is to click a link from an email that is automatically generated from Pangaea.

You can let your agent know that it is much quicker to update orders directly into Pangaea this way, therefore saving them time and money.

Can Pangaea generate Cargo Status Reports?

Pangaea can automatically generate Cargo Status Reports at the click of a button. From the main orders window, simply select which format you would like to export the report in (such as Excel) and click 'export'. Once you have exported to Excel, you have the opportunity to re-format the report any way you want.

How do I get upgrades to Pangaea?

Anytime Pangaea releases a new set of features, next time you log into Pangaea, you will have access to these new features immediately. Updates and features are released quarterly and there is no need to download these or make any changes to your system.
