UNITED STATES RESELLER APPOINTED

Pangaea, the world’s leader in smart online order track and trace systems are pleased to announce the signing of a landmark reseller agreement with Catapult International based in Shawnee, Kansas.

The United States is the worlds’ largest importer accounting for approximately 15.5% of the global import trade. Pangaea have always looked to the United States for expansion but were never certain how best to approach market entry. Pangaea CEO Maryann Farrugia said after the signing, “after much analysis and debate, we found the partner who we can trust with our brand”.

Catapult International are already an industry leader in international logistics software, providing quoting and rate management systems to freight forwarders, importers/exporters, and third party logistics companies.

PANGAEA RELEASES NEW VERSION (V2.9.6)

Pangaea, the world’s leader in smart online order track and trace systems, has recently launched the latest version of it’s website. Version 2.9.6 which has been in development for nearly 6 months, contains many new features to enable both Freight Forwarders, Importers & Exporters to increase the efficiency of their international supply chains and reduce costs.

Available in version 2.9.6 is Pangaea Easy Reports which is a suite of preformatted reports that graphically display supply chain performance, allowing easy identification of weakness and opportunities for improvement.

Pangaea’s ability to project delivery dates and times by individual containers has been dramatically improved with a new forecasting algorithm. Projected delivery dates and delivery times are now available to aid in satisfying requests for this information.

Another simple but useful addition is that Importers can now specify a date when they want an order delivered. This allows Freight Forwarders to organize their resources to achieve that date and increase customer satisfaction with their services.

PANGAEA ONLINE TRACK AND TRACE SIGNS UP 25,000 BUSINESSES

PANGAEA EASY REPORTS OPTION

Pangaea, the world’s leader in smart online order track and trace systems, has launched a suite of new pre-formatted reports to help both Freight Forwarders and Importers further reduce the cost of freight.

Pangaea Easy Reports are a subscribed option delivered through the Pangaea website.

Freight Forwarders can use Pangaea Easy Reports to make decisions relating to consolidations, negotiating better rates from carriers and evaluating the performance of their agents and customs brokers.

Importers are able to exercise tighter control over their suppliers through information such as short shipments, order lead times and timeliness in despatching orders. Having this information presented in a logical and easy to interpret format enables Importers to make better planning decisions.

For example, it’s never been easier to compare supplier performance and plan order placement to ensure inventories of finished goods are available for sale when customers want to buy them.

PANGAEA BOOSTS CAPABILTY AND RESPONSE WITH WEB HOSTING CHANGE

Pangaea, the world’s leader in smart online order track and trace systems, is delighted to announce the signing of a new website hosting agreement with Rackspace.

In moving the hosting of Pangaea from Australia to the United States, Pangaea CEO Maryann Farrugia said “upgrading to the latest server technologies will bring noticeable benefits to our customers. They will immediately notice a dramatic reduction in latency and consequently, the site will perform faster and smoother.”

Utilizing DELL dual processor quad core Xeon servers will provide a 100% improvement in processing speeds over our old server technology.

Hosted on dedicated servers located in Rackspace’s San Antonio TX data warehouse, the additional capacity will comfortably accommodate planned new features and enhancements which are close to release.

PANGAEA ANNOUNCES GENERAL RELEASE OF Ver 2.9.5

Pangaea, the world’s leader in smart online order track and trace systems, have announced the new release of the Pangaea system under general release version 2.9.5.

Version 2.9.5 offers improvements to the ‘Order Pipeline’ function through productivity and user experience improvements to both Freight Forwarders and Importers.

The Order Pipeline screen has been redesigned to provide a more visually pleasing interface and new filters have been added to display only information which is relevant to the user.

New filters include “Show Managed Orders” which displays only relevant orders. “Show Overdue Managed Orders” and “Show Early Managed Orders” are the other new filters which enable the Freight Forwarder and the Importer to quickly identify problems and proactively take steps to manage the problem before additional costs are incurred. Further reducing the costs of freight.

PANGAEA ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF DESKTOP VERSION 1.0

Pangaea, the world’s leader in smart online order track and trace systems, have announced the new release of a desktop version of Pangaea.

Weighing in at an incredibly light 2 megabytes, the Pangaea desktop can be delivered to you easily by email. The Pangaea Desktop Application offers Freight Forwarders and their Agents considerable advantages particularly if both have a need to update a large number of orders at the one time.

The Pangaea Desktop Application is a stand-alone program which needs to be installed on each computer on which it is used. While an internet connection is required, it is not required all the time like the web version of Pangaea is.

Freight Forwarders and Agents are able to access all their orders using the Pangaea Desktop, update the orders while offline and once the updates are complete, click on the “Synchronize” button to automatically update the orders on the online database,

Pangaea Desktop offers an easy, fast and convenient option to updating large volumes of orders.

PANGAEA CERTIFIED FORWARDERS

Pangaea, the world’s leader in smart online order track and trace systems, are pleased to announce the Pangaea Certified Forwarders program.

Pangaea Certified Forwarders in basic terms is the assigning of Gold, Silver and Bronze certification status to accredited Freight Forwarders. Accreditation is achieved through use of Pangaea and having gained proficiency in maximising the benefits offered by Pangaea.

The Pangaea Certified Forwarders program provides Importers with confidence that their Freight Forwarder personnel have attended on-site Pangaea training modules and have passed these modules to Pangaea’s standards.

 Freight Forwarders who are Pangaea Certified Forwarders received recognition of their status from certificates issues to trained staff through to Pangaea Certified Forwarder logo’s for marketing use and priority listing in the Pangaea Forwarder Directory.
